Adding custom colours

Use the Colour tab's Colour Picker to copy any colour on your page, and then apply the colour to other objects. By default, custom colours are added to the publication palette on the Swatches tab.

To apply a custom colour to an object:

1. On the Colour tab, click the Colour Picker.

2. Click on your chosen colour with the pickup cursor.
   
   To magnify the colour swatch (as below), press and hold down the mouse button.
   
   
   
   On the Colour tab, the Picked Colour swatch updates with your custom colour.
   
   
   
   Your custom colour swatch is also added to the Publication Palette on the Swatches tab.
   
   
   
   You can now use this swatch to apply colour to other objects on your page.

3. Select the object you want to colour.

4. Set the area of the object to be filled by clicking the Line, Fill, or Text button.

5. Select the Colour tab's Picked Colour swatch or the custom colour swatch on the Swatches tab.
