Introduction
This procedure will allow recovery from an "OCP Parameter Out of Range" error on an Avantra.
When to Perform this Procedure
Perform this procedure whenever an Avantra displays error code "9" on the OCP. The system's Engine
Configuration may also be affected (e.g. incorrect engine type, single spindle only, etc.).
Supplies and Equipment Required
PC with AVDiag or UniDiag and associated serial cable.
Procedure
Avantra OCP Parameter Out of Range / Error 9 Recovery Procedure
Step Action:
1. Interface the PC to the Avantra, launch the diagnostics utility (AVDiag or
UniDiag) and back up the system's machine parameters and correction table.
2. Upload the OCP user parameters from the Avantra to the PC.
3. View the OCP params and locate the parameter that is out of range for its field.
Experience has shown this to typically be an 1800 dpi exposure value for
cassette 2.
4. Change the incorrect value to an acceptable value (e.g. set 1800 exposure to
175).
