Collation mark names
Preps includes a selection of collation marks whose names indicate how they are to be used:
-JA, -ZH, and -ABC appended to a mark name indicates Japanese, Simplified Chinese, or English characters, respectively.
File names that start with sigcoll followed by a, b, d, or e indicate the character rotation inside the collation marks. The letters represent 90, 0, 180, and 270 degrees, respectively. The characters remain at the rotation that you select, whether you set up a horizontal or vertical collation mark. For examples, see CJK collation mark rotation types.
Lower-case mark file names such as sigcolla.eps and sigcollb.eps indicate EPS marks for mixed-files jobs.
Capitalized names such as Collation Mark A or Collation Mark B indicate the marks that you select for native PDF jobs.
Custom collation marks
You can create static custom signature collation marks if you have advanced knowledge of PostScript. Examples provided with Preps include the SIGCOLLD.EPS and SIGCOLLE.EPS files in the Marks folder.
