В английском (переведенном с голландского) тексте по полиграфии встретилась такая фраза:

The papers show no picking, ink rub resistance is high (wet ink rub, white gas tests and ink rub resistance), there is no blocking and multicolour ink setting is also fast.

Проблема с "white gas tests" - не подскажете, что это значит в данном контексте и как переводится на русский?

White Gas Test (ESTM 2310):
[0168]The white gas test is used to evaluate the time needed for a sheet fed offset ink film printed on a paper to be chemically dry.

[0169]Definitions: Chemical ink drying: partial to full cross-linking of unsaturated vegetable oils of the ink via oxidative polymerisation/auto-polymerisation.

[0170]Principle: A sample is printed with a standard commercial ink on the Prufbau printing device. After several time intervals, a part of the printed sample is put in contact with white gas. The white gas can dissolve the ink film on the paper as long as the ink film is not totally cross-linked. When the white gas does not dissolve the ink film anymore, the sample is considered chemically dry.

Не знаю, и это не газ, а жидкость, вроде бензина/керосина.

Они бензин называют "gas". Так что всё сходится.
